Stereophonic: sound with recording parameters optimizing the capture of 360 degrees of sound particles representing the direct-field and the reverberant field, storing them and resulting in four unique electrical phases. Then this sound is re-produced from 2 locations, exciting sound particles in the 6 (cartesian) directions of a spherical coordinate system. Up, down, back, forth, left and right. The stereophonic goal is to cohere the direct-field to the reverberant-field at the listener position and giving the listener the perception of immersive 360 degrees of presentation within the defined sound-scape.
